13A4 단클론 항체는 마우스 Prominin-1 (CD133)을 인식합니다. Prominin-1은 115–120 kDa pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein으로, 조혈줄기세포, 신경 및 내피줄기세포, 망막, 상피조직 등 원시 세포에서 발현됩니다.
13A4 항체는 rat, human, chicken, Drosophila에는 반응하지 않으며 dog 시료에서는 반응 보고됨.

Target Information
CD133 (AC133) 항원은 97 kDa glycoprotein으로, 5개의 transmembrane domain을 가지며 당화로 인해 120 kDa 밴드로 검출됩니다.
CD133은 미성숙 조혈줄기세포 표지자로 성숙 혈구에는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 신경 및 배아줄기세포 등 다양한 줄기세포에서 발현되며, 일부 백혈병 및 뇌종양 등 줄기세포 유래 암에서도 발현됩니다.
낮은 수준의 발현은 신장, 췌장, 태반, 태아 간에서도 관찰됩니다.
CD133 유전자 변이는 망막색소변성증 및 Stargardt 병과 연관되어 있으며, 암 발현과도 관련 있습니다.
CD133은 최소 5개의 조직 특이적 프로모터로부터 발현되며, 다양한 isoform을 생성하는 다중 전사 변이체를 포함합니다.
