Target Information

ROS1 is a tyrosine kinase that functions as a growth or differentiation factor receptor.
Protein kinases transfer a phosphate group from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction in eukaryotic cells.
They regulate cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
The protein kinase family includes over 500 gene products and is classified into 8 major groups based on catalytic domain sequence comparison.
The tyrosine kinase (TK) group regulates cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death.
Approximately 90 TK genes are known—58 receptor TKs (e.g., EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (e.g., ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
