Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on nearly all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a critical co-receptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), amplifying antigen receptor-dependent signaling and regulating B cell activation and proliferation. Mutations in CD19 can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity. It is a key marker in B cell development and leukemia research.
