Product Specific Information

The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–35 kDa receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34+ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells.
CD90 is involved in T-cell adhesion and signal transduction.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested using human erythroleukemia (HEL) cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test, defined as the amount sufficient to stain a sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell numbers may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity: This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm
Laser Compatibility: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green lasers

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts. CD90 plays roles in cell-cell and cell-ligand interactions, especially during synaptogenesis in the brain. It serves as a marker for various stem cells and neuronal axons. Structural studies of CD90 contributed to the identification of the Immunoglobulin superfamily and the first description of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
