Target Information
Myc는 세포 주기 진행, 세포사멸(apoptosis), 세포 변형에 관여하는 핵 인산단백질을 암호화하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. 이 단백질은 전사인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 표적 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다. Myc 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 암에서 빈번히 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종과 다발성 골수종과 같은 질환의 전위(translocation)와 관련이 있습니다. 또한, 번역은 비정상적인 CUG 시작 코돈과 하류의 AUG 코돈에서 시작되어 서로 다른 N-말단을 가진 두 가지 동형 단백질을 생성합니다.
