Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1)는 최근 정의된 B7 패밀리 단백질로, PD-1 수용체와 결합하여 T-cell receptor (TCR) 신호를 음성 조절합니다. PD-L1은 TCR 매개 세포 증식과 사이토카인 생성을 감소시키며, 다양한 종양에서 높은 발현을 보입니다. 또한 IFN-γ 자극에 의해 발현이 증가할 수 있어, 종양의 면역 회피에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
