Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family and interacts with its receptor PD-1 to negatively regulate T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Upon PD-1 binding, PD-L1 decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated upon IFN-gamma stimulation, suggesting its important role in tumor immune evasion.
