This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, porcine, and rat based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is placenta tissue.

Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases divided into apoptotic and inflammatory subfamilies.
Inflammatory caspases (such as caspase-1, -4, -5, and -12) are associated with immune responses to microbial pathogens and can activate proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18.
Caspase-1 was initially identified as an IL-1β-converting enzyme and later recognized as a mammalian homolog of the C. elegans cell death gene ced-3, whose overexpression induces apoptosis in fibroblasts.
