Target Information
이 유전자는 보편적으로 발현되는 heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) 아단위에 속합니다. hnRNP는 RNA 결합 단백질로, heterogeneous nuclear RNA(hnRNA)와 복합체를 형성합니다.
이 단백질은 pre-mRNA의 스플라이싱과 mRNA 대사, 수송 과정에 관여하며, 핵 내에서 주로 존재하지만 일부는 세포질로 이동할 수 있습니다.
PTBP1 단백질은 quasi-RNA recognition motif (RRM) 도메인을 4개 포함하며, intronic polypyrimidine tract에 결합하여 pre-mRNA 스플라이싱을 조절하고 ubiquitin-proteasome 경로를 통해 단백질 분해에 관여합니다. 또한 U2 snRNP의 pre-mRNA 결합을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
