Target Information

Serine/arginine-rich protein 75 (SRp75) is encoded by the SRSF4 gene.
SRp75 belongs to the arginine/serine-rich factor family and plays a role in alternative mRNA splicing.
SR factors contain RNA recognition motifs (RRM) and an RS-rich domain, essential for constitutive and regulated splicing.
Most SR proteins, including SC35 and SRp40, are localized in the nucleus, while SF2/ASF, SRp20, and 9G8 shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm, contributing to mRNA transport.
SR protein activity in splicing regulation is antagonized by hnRNP A/B proteins, which influence splice site selection.
