The Human Endostatin Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures endostatin protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create custom multiplex panels using Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits (not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.
These multiplex assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results within four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

The Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identified by Luminex xMAP detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Similar to a sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the protein of interest. Each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Because the capture antibody is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a microplate, reagents remain free-floating, enabling efficient multiplexing.

Detection occurs via two lasers in the Luminex instrument—one distinguishing bead signatures, the other quantifying RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration. ProcartaPlex multiplex assays profile more proteins using less sample in the same time as a traditional ELISA.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available for multiple species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
