Target Information
EEF2 catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation elongation. In this process, the ribosome transitions from the pre-translocational (PRE) to the post-translocational (POST) state as the peptidyl-tRNA and deacylated tRNA move to the P and E sites, respectively. This enzyme coordinates the movement of tRNA molecules, mRNA, and conformational changes in the ribosome.
