- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Mouse Serum.
- Reactivity confirmed against recombinant GFP (Aequorea victoria) by Western blot.
- No cross-reactivity observed with RFP.

The jellyfish Aequorea victoria produces green fluorescent protein (GFP), a 27 kDa monomeric protein that emits green fluorescence (excitation 395 nm, emission 508 nm). GFP is widely used as a reporter and fusion tag in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems to:

- Study protein movement and subcellular dynamics
- Assess protein–protein interactions (e.g., yeast two-hybrid system)
- Measure distances between proteins via FRET
