Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CHST4 is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CHST5 and recombinant human CHST6.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The CHST4 gene encodes an N-acetylglucosamine 6-O-sulfotransferase enzyme that transfers sulfate from 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate to the 6-hydroxyl group of N-acetylglucosamine on glycoproteins.
This enzyme is localized to the Golgi apparatus and plays a role in modifying glycan structures on ligands of the lymphocyte homing receptor L-selectin.
Alternative splicing in the 5' UTR results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
