- In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Sulfotransferase 1A1 is observed.
- Less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Sulfotransferase 2A1 and 4A1 is observed.

Target Information
Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. These cytosolic enzymes vary in tissue distribution and substrate specificity. The gene structure is similar among family members. The SULT1E1 gene encodes a protein that transfers a sulfo moiety to and from estrone, potentially regulating estrogen receptor levels.
