Target Information
The REL gene encodes c-Rel, a transcription factor that belongs to the Rel/NF-κB family, which also includes RELA, RELB, NFKB1, and NFKB2. These proteins share a conserved N-terminal Rel domain, responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and interaction with NF-κB inhibitors (Belguise and Sonenshein, 2007).
