Product Specific Information

The B-Ly7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD103 (Integrin αE). CD103 associates non-covalently with integrin β7 and is mainly expressed on intraepithelial lymphocytes and a subset of peripheral lymphocytes. It is also found in hairy cell leukemia and some chronic B-cell lymphocytic leukemias.
E-cadherin binds to CD103, mediating lymphocyte homing to intestinal epithelium.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated on 2–3 day PHA-activated human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.6 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, and DAPI.
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for optimal performance.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
Add 5 µL per sample before combining antibody cocktails with cells.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures with minimized spillover and spread impacts.
Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 612 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).

Target Information

CD103 (ITGAE, Integrin αE) is expressed on mucosa-associated T lymphocytes and activated TGFβ1 cells. It comprises a 150 kDa α-chain and a 120 kDa β-chain.
CD103 is found on 0.5–2% of resting lymphocytes in peripheral blood and lymphoid organs. It forms the E-cadherin-binding integrin (human mucosal lymphocyte-1 antigen) with β7 integrin.
Associated diseases include hairy cell leukemia and splenic marginal zone lymphoma.
