Target Information
CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides. It is expressed on lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphoma cells, immature B cells in adult bone marrow, and cells from patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML). CD10 is also found on breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and is highly expressed on the brush border of kidney and gut epithelial cells. It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a gene with multiple alternatively spliced transcripts.
