ASCC2는 DNA 손상 복구에 관여하는 ASCC 복합체의 구성 요소로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 polyubiquitinated 단백질의 Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin 사슬에 결합하여 ASCC3 및 ALKBH3를 DNA 손상 부위로 유도합니다 (PubMed:29144457).
