Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 15 µL or 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships lyophilized at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

SLC7A11 (also known as xCT) is a member of a heteromeric, sodium-independent, anionic amino acid transport system.
It is highly specific for cysteine and glutamate.
SLC7A11 mediates Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus fusion and entry into cells.
Increased expression in primary gliomas is associated with neuronal cell death.
