Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
SLC7A11 (also known as XCT) is a member of a heteromeric, sodium-independent, anionic amino acid transport system. It is highly specific for cysteine and glutamate.
SLC7A11 mediates Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus fusion and entry into cells.
Increased expression of this protein in primary gliomas is associated with neuronal cell death.
