The eBio22D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse SIGNR1 (CD209b), a type II transmembrane C-type lectin identified as a mouse homologue of human DC-SIGN. SIGNR1 is highly expressed in splenic marginal zone macrophages and lymph node medullary macrophages, functioning in uptake of dextran polysaccharides and Streptococcus pneumoniae capsular polysaccharides. SIGNR1 associates with TLR4/MD2, suggesting a role in LPS recognition. SIGNR1-deficient mice show defects in complement component C3 catabolism, and SIGNR1 binds complement subcomponent C1q to form a non-conventional C3 convertase.
The eBio22D1 antibody does not cross-react with SIGNR2, SIGNR3, or SIGNR4.

Target Information
SIGNR1 is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin expressed in macrophages of spleen and lymph node, mediating uptake of polysaccharides and interacting with TLR4/MD2 in LPS recognition. SIGNR1 binds complement C1q to assemble a non-conventional C3 convertase, and its deficiency leads to defects in complement catabolism.
