Description:
The eBio1560 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Endothelial Protein C Receptor (EPCR, CD201), a 25 kDa type I transmembrane protein expressed on endothelial cells. EPCR is structurally related to the MHC class I/CD1 family and serves as a ligand for Protein C, playing a key role in Protein C activation and regulation of coagulation and inflammation. EPCR deletion results in embryonic lethality, partly due to placental thrombosis.

EPCR expression identifies bone marrow cells capable of hematopoietic reconstitution similar to conventional hematopoietic stem cells. The eBio1560 antibody is suitable for detecting these cells, while the eBiomRCR-16 antibody should be used specifically for endothelial CD201 detection.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of bEnd.3 cells. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize titration for best performance, especially on endothelial cells with high CD201 expression.

Target Information

The EPCR (CD201) protein is a receptor for activated Protein C, a serine protease in the coagulation pathway. It is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein that enhances Protein C activation. Mutations are associated with venous thromboembolism, myocardial infarction, and late fetal loss during pregnancy.
