Product Specific Information
The eBio124-1D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD7 (gp40, Leu9), a 40 kDa receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
CD7 is expressed on immature and mature T lymphocytes, T cell leukemias, natural killer cells, and a small subset of normal and malignant B cells.
Cross-linking CD7 modulates T cell and NK cell activity, influencing calcium flux, adhesion molecule expression, cytokine secretion, and proliferation.
CD7 associates with phosphoinositol 3′-kinase, inducing D-3 phosphoinositides and tyrosine phosphorylation.
A clonogenic subset of human CD34(+) CD38(-) cord blood cells expressing CD45RA, HLA-DR, and high CD7 levels can generate B cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells, but not myeloid or erythroid cells.
CD7(+) phenotype distinguishes primitive lymphoid progenitors from pluripotent stem cells.
CD7 may cooperate with CD28 in Treg function, as CD28/CD7-deficient mice show reduced Treg numbers and suppressive activity.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
One test = antibody amount to stain cells in 100 µL volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information
CD7 (gp40, Leu9) is a 40 kDa member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
It contains an N-terminal region homologous to Ig kappa light chains and a proline-rich C-terminal stalk.
Expressed on T cells, NK cells, and some B cells, CD7 plays a role in T cell activation and signaling.
Expression of CD7 is a key marker in leukemia diagnostics.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
