- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

The FOXP1 gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family.
Forkhead box transcription factors play essential roles in regulating tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during development and adulthood.
FOXP1 protein contains both DNA-binding and protein-protein interaction domains.
This gene may act as a tumor suppressor, as it is lost in several tumor types and is located in chromosomal region 3p14.1, which has been associated with tumor suppressor genes.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
