Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes a sialidase-sensitive extracellular epitope of CD45RB, a 180–240 kDa single-chain type I membrane glycoprotein variant of CD45 (CD45RB isoform). CD45RB is expressed on subsets of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and dendritic cells.
Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase and a CD45 glycoprotein isoform. CD45 is essential for lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signal transduction and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. Expression varies by cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is found in microglia and inflammatory cells and plays a role in immunoreceptor signaling and apoptosis regulation. CD45 is expressed across human hematopoietic cells except mature red blood cells.
