Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. It catalyzes a variety of reactions and is widely used in the GST gene fusion system. This system allows purification of GST fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione, enabling direct protein-to-protein interaction assays. The GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
