MA4-003 detects phosphotyrosine from most species and tissues.
It has been successfully used in ELISA, Western blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and FACS procedures.
This antibody detects proteins containing phosphorylated tyrosine residues.
The MA4-003 antigen is O-phospho-L-tyrosine and O-phospho-DL-tyramine.

Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues is a key mechanism in mitogenesis, cell cycle progression, and oncogenic transformation.
Antibodies recognizing phosphorylated tyrosine residues are essential tools for studying tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins and related biochemical pathways.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate of clone PY20 anti-phosphotyrosine is particularly useful for immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical detection of P-Tyr proteins when secondary antibody use is undesirable.
