• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-17B. Anti-Human IL-17B-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Sandwich ELISA:
  To detect hIL-17B by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-17B (500-P248) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hIL-17B.

• Western Blot:
  To detect hIL-17B by Western blot analysis, this antibody can be used at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hIL-17B is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

• Packaging:
  500-P248BT-1MG will be provided as 2 × 500 µg.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. It stimulates the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from monocytic cells. Immunohistochemical analysis indicates localization primarily in neuronal cell bodies.
