Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-17B. Anti-Human IL-17B-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human IL-17B matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-17B by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-17B (500-P248Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-17B.

Western Blot:
To detect Human IL-17B by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-17B is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine stimulates the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies.
