The Human CD73 (NT5E) Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures CD73 (NT5E) protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assays for Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein for simultaneous quantitation of multiple targets using a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample.
Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).

Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike traditional ELISA, ProcartaPlex assays use bead-conjugated capture antibodies, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution. Detection is achieved via dual-laser systems that identify bead signatures and quantify RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
