Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the enabled/vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein family. These proteins are involved in actin-based motility and regulate the assembly of actin filaments, modulating cell adhesion and motility. Alternate splice variants have been correlated with tumor invasiveness in certain tissues and may serve as prognostic markers. A pseudogene is located on chromosome 3.
