Target Information
STK3 (MST2)는 MAP kinase 신호전달 경로 상위 단계에서 작용하는 STE kinase 계열 단백질로, staurosporine 및 FAS ligand와 같은 세포사멸 유도 자극에 의해 활성화됩니다.
STK3는 스트레스 활성화성 프로-아포토시스 키나아제로, caspase 절단 후 핵으로 이동하여 염색질 응축 및 DNA 단편화를 유도합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 증식 억제 및 아포토시스 촉진을 통해 장기 크기 조절과 종양 억제에 핵심적인 Hippo 신호전달 경로의 주요 구성요소입니다.
STK3/MST2와 STK4/MST1은 SAV1과 복합체를 이루어 LATS1/2를 인산화 및 활성화하며, 이는 YAP1 및 WWTR1/TAZ를 인산화하여 핵 내 이동을 억제함으로써 세포 증식, 사멸, 이동 관련 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
STK3/MST2 및 STK4/MST1은 성숙한 간세포의 증식을 억제하고, 간 줄기세포(oval cells)의 비활성화를 유지하며, 종양 형성을 방지하는 데 필수적입니다.
