Target Information
Lymphotactin (XCL1) is a member of the C-chemokine family that acts as a chemoattractant specifically for lymphocytes, not monocytes or neutrophils, indicating a regulatory role in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation. It signals through chemokine receptor XCR1 and is expressed at the highest levels in the spleen, with lower expression in lungs, small intestine, and colon. It is abundantly produced by activated T cells, particularly CD8+ T cells, and NK cells.
