Product Specific Information

The eBio17B7 antibody reacts with mouse and rat IL-17A without cross-reactivity to IL-17F.
IL-17A is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine promoting inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.

• Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of Th17-polarized mouse splenocytes using Intracellular Fixation and Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00).
  • Recommended ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
  • Optimal titration recommended.
• Staining Compatibility: Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product # 00-5523-00).
• Fluorophore: PE-eFluor® 610 (Excitation: 488–561 nm, Emission: 607 nm).
  • Recommended filter: 610/20 band pass (PE-Texas Red® equivalent).
  • Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
IL-17A forms a disulfide-linked homodimer (32 kDa, 136 amino acids) and signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217).
It enhances expression of ICAM-1 and stimulates epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2.
IL-17A regulates NF-κB and MAPK pathways, induces COX-2 expression, and promotes nitric oxide production.
