For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD86 is one of two ligands (the other being CD80) for CTLA4 and CD28. It acts as a costimulatory molecule in T-cell activation during antigen presentation. Insufficient co-stimulation involving CD86/CD80 can induce tolerance.
CD86 is a type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed by antigen-presenting cells. It binds to CD28 and CTLA4 on T cells, providing either activation or inhibitory signals, respectively.
Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms. Dysregulation of CD86 has been associated with diseases such as gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
