• AA Sequence: Discontinued
• Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human EMAP-II. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using immobilized Human EMAP-II.
• Sandwich ELISA: Requires 0.5–2.0 µg/mL antibody concentration for detection of Human EMAP-II. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human EMAP-II (500-P172GBt), enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well recombinant protein.
• Western Blot: Effective at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL antibody concentration. Detection limit for Recombinant Human EMAP-II is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane.

Target Information

The EMAP-II protein is a cytokine induced by apoptosis and plays roles in angiogenesis, inflammation, and wound healing. It sensitizes tumor-associated vasculature to TNF and corresponds to the p43 subunit of the multi-tRNA synthetase complex. The protein modulates aminoacylation activity and stimulates inflammatory responses after proteolytic cleavage in tumor cells. Multiple transcript variants exist, and a pseudogene is located on chromosome 20.
