For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Tight junctions are a form of cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial or endothelial sheets, forming continuous seals around cells that act as physical barriers to solute and water passage. These junctions consist of continuous networking strands in the cytoplasmic leaflet and complementary grooves in the extracytoplasmic leaflet.
The CLDN6 gene encodes a component of tight junction strands and belongs to the claudin family. The protein is an integral membrane protein and serves as one of the entry cofactors for hepatitis C virus. Gene methylation may be involved in esophageal tumorigenesis. CLDN6 is located adjacent to CLDN9 on chromosome 16.
