Target Information
The retinoblastoma gene product (Rb) is a tumor suppressor protein that regulates the cell cycle. It also plays a role in apoptosis, where Rb is cleaved by caspase-3-like protease into 48 and 68 kDa fragments, rendering it functionally inactive and releasing E2F-1, which may promote apoptosis.
