Target Information
NTRK3 (TRKC) belongs to the neurotrophic factor family of related polypeptides central to the development and maintenance of the mammalian nervous system. Known substrates for the TRK receptors include SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. The different isoforms do not have identical signaling properties. TRKC is widely expressed in nervous tissue, with isoform B more abundant in adult brain compared to fetal brain. TRKC undergoes ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation and contains 2 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and 2 leucine-rich (LRR) repeats.
