Product Specific Information
Description:
The R1-12D10 monoclonal antibody recognizes rat IgG1 antibodies and can be used as a secondary reagent in microscopy. It does not recognize other rat isotypes and does not cross-react with mouse IgG1.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes stained with a rat IgG1 primary antibody. Recommended use ≤0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Optimal performance should be determined by titration.
Spectral Properties:
- Excitation: 488–561 nm
- Emission: 578 nm
- Compatible Lasers: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins. They are used for detection, sorting, or purification of rat antibodies. Secondary antibodies enhance versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. They are typically generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and modification (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, label conjugation).
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
