This antibody detects endogenous levels of total RNF11 protein.
Target Information
RNF11 is an essential component of a ubiquitin-editing protein complex that includes TNFAIP3, ITCH, and TAX1BP1, which ensures the transient nature of inflammatory signaling pathways. It promotes the association of TNFAIP3 with RIPK1 after TNF stimulation. TNFAIP3 deubiquitinates Lys-63 polyubiquitin chains on RIPK1 and catalyzes the formation of Lys-48 polyubiquitin chains, leading to RIPK1 proteasomal degradation and termination of TNF- or LPS-mediated NF-kappa-B activation. RNF11 also recruits STAMBP to the E3 ubiquitin-ligase SMURF2 for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the 26S proteasome.
