Target Information
HMGA2 (High Mobility Group AT-hook 2), previously known as HMGI-C, belongs to the high mobility chromosomal protein family characterized by the AT-hook DNA-binding motif. It is highly expressed during embryogenesis. Chromosomal rearrangements and overexpression of HMGA2 are often associated with benign and malignant tumors. Human and mouse HMGA2 share 95% amino acid sequence identity.
