Target Information

eIF4A3 is a member of the DEAD box protein family, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD). These proteins are putative RNA helicases involved in processes such as translation initiation, RNA splicing, and ribosome/spliceosome assembly. eIF4A3 is a nuclear matrix protein with high sequence similarity to eIF4AI and eIF4AII, other members of the DEAD box family. It plays roles in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth/division.
