Target Information
Heme oxygenase (HO)는 heme을 biliverdin과 carbon monoxide로 산화시키는 미소체 효소입니다. HO는 유도형 HO-1과 항상 발현되는 HO-2 두 동형효소로 구성됩니다.
HO-1은 산화 스트레스, 염증 유발 물질, TGF-β, 열충격 등 다양한 자극에 의해 유도됩니다. HO-1의 발현 증가는 세포의 방어 기전으로, 항산화 물질인 bilirubin 생성을 촉진하여 산화 스트레스로부터 세포를 보호합니다.
