Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The FGG gene encodes the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein composed of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains.
Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin, the major component of blood clots.
Cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, exhibit vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and act as mitogens for several cell types.
Mutations in this gene are associated with disorders such as dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia, and thrombophilia.
Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
