Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Upon phosphorylation, these motifs serve as docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is widely expressed in the vascular compartment, primarily at cell junctions. Its N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, contributing to cell-cell interactions.
CD31 plays roles in integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune regulation, autoimmunity, macrophage phagocytosis, IgE-mediated anaphylaxis, and thrombosis, serving as a key regulator in the vascular system.
