Target Information
CD276 is a member of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules also known as B7-H3.
It is a type I transmembrane protein that induces proliferation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, enhances cytotoxic T cell generation, and selectively stimulates interferon gamma production.
Expression can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines, and is found in peripheral tissues such as heart, kidney, testis, and colon.
In humans, two isoforms exist due to gene duplication and differential splicing.
CD276 has therapeutic potential for regulating cell-mediated immune responses to cancer, especially with anti-angiogenic therapy.
