Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포 간 및 세포-세포외기질 접착 부위(adherens junctions)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 F-actin을 막에 고정시키는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용하며, integrin β 서브유닛이 talin에 결합하고 talin이 vinculin에 결합하여 α-actinin과 상호작용함으로써 접착판의 조립을 매개합니다.
α-actinin이 actin 필라멘트를 교차결합하기 때문에 vinculin은 세포외기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템 간의 연결에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
VCL 유전자 변이는 확장성 심근병증 1W 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증 15형을 유발할 수 있습니다.
