Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
The TFR2 gene encodes a single-pass type II membrane protein belonging to the transferrin receptor-like family. It contains a protease-associated (PA) domain, an M28 peptidase domain, and a transferrin receptor-like dimerization domain. This protein mediates cellular uptake of transferrin-bound iron, and mutations are linked to hereditary hemochromatosis type III.
Alternative splicing variants exist, producing different isoforms, though not all are fully characterized.
